Group performs advanced research in the area of Protected SATCOM Systems. This research requires the development of SATCOM testbeds to demonstrate new system architectures, waveforms, and enabling technology. Development efforts are multi-disciplinary and include a wide array of activities requiring the design and implementation of software, firmware, and hardware components and subsystems.
The Software Developer will work in a laboratory team environment to design, develop, and integrate control software for use in wireless communications systems such as communication satellite payloads and associated ground terminals. The software will primarily be run on both commercially available single-board computers in an embedded environment and general purpose processors. The software will be integrated and then tested with a mix of commercial off-the-shelf and proprietary digital hardware boards used to perform advanced digital signal processing functions, commercial off-the-shelf networking equipment, and application layer services. The individual will be responsible for having a system level understanding to lead the hands- on diagnosis of issues which arise during the integration and testing process. The individual will then work closely with other software and firmware developers to remedy the issues.
Requirements:
Interim clearance is sufficient for start.
Interview Process: First round interview will be Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. Second round will be with group leader and additional personnel as needed.

Requirements:
- 2 years of Resilient Communications, Command, and Control Algorithms
- Military Satellite Communication Systems
- C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, GIT/ GITHUB, object oriented software design and development, software architecture, software design/ development, XML and SQL
- Matlab programming
- Experience developing in a Linux environment
- Maven or Gradle, Git / Gitlab and Make/ auto tool software
- Bachelors Degree
