Job Description: RN Tele/Telemetry
We are looking for a highly capable telemetry nurse to analyze medical equipment measurements. In this role, your duties will include studying patient history, administering specialized treatment to critically ill patients, and keeping medical records. You will also be required to update family members on the medical condition of the patients.
To ensure success, telemetry nurses should demonstrate extensive experience in caring for critically ill patients and the ability to work in a highly demanding environment. Accomplished candidates expertly interpret medical technology data and provide their patients with dedicated care.
Requirements
- New York License (NY Lic)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Experience in Medical Surgical with a concentration in Nephrology
- Ability to work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
- Experience or willingness to train on peritoneal dialysis
Work Environment
- Number of Beds/Rooms/Bays: 31 to 40
- Scrub Color: Blue-Navy
- Areas of Float Support: Medical Surgical Units
- Patient Population: Adult
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Renal Disease, sepsis, CHF, osteomyelitis, pneumonia, Renal Failure
- Special Procedures: Preferred but willing to train on peritoneal dialysis
- Applicable Line Management/Equipment: Drains, Feeding Tubes, Fistula, PICC/Central Lines, Port-A-Cath/Vascular Device Access/Care, Wound Vac
